Furlani gets personally involved in talks for €30m striker
AC Milan are insisting on the 21-year-old Albanian striker despite Chelsea’s reluctance to approve his transfer.
AC Milan will sign a new centre forward before the summer transfer market is over. The Rossoneri have found it difficult finding a new destination for Divock Origi with the Belgian refusing every offer until now. Nevertheless, the former Liverpool is totally out of Stefano Pioli’s project and a replacement will arrives.
Hugo Ekitike and Armando Broja are being strongly linked with AC Milan but it seems like the Albania international is the number one target of the Rossoneri. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan have intensified talks with Chelsea to find an agreement for the 21-year-old talented striker.
An initial approach regarding a loan move has already been rejected by Chelsea. However, AC Milan are not losing hope on the Albanian striker. Armando Broja is open to a move in Italy. The 21-year-old has been on AC Milan’s radar for a long time and the parties had discussed a possible transfer since Paolo Maldini’s time in charge.
This time talks on AC Milan side are being led by Giorgio Furlani himself. Gazzetta reveals that the Rossoneri club CEO has been personally involved in order to find an agreement with Chelsea regarding a loan move with option, or obligation, to buy in favor of the Rossoneri for a fee of around €30 million. The relationship between the two club is excellent as demonstrated by a number of transfers in recent years.
Armando Broja excelled during two consecutive loan spells. First in Netherlands with Vitessse and later in the Premier League with Southampton. However, Broja’s highly anticipated return at Chelsea was an unfortunate one with a serious knee injury preventing his progress at the English giants. He has been off the pitch since suffering a ACL rupture last December. Despite his injury AC Milan are confident that Broja’s best days are ahead of him.
